Painting Marseille, 1853-1878. Another modernity

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, the Museum of Fine Arts receives from the Musée d’Orsay the exceptional loan of the Gulf of Marseille seen from l’Estaque, by Paul Cézanne and La Lavandière, by Paul Guigou.

The Museum will present around these two masterpieces the Provençal landscapes of the painters of the School of Marseille who draw their vision of another modernity.

Opening of the exhibition Saturday May 18 at 7 p.m. as part of the European Night of Museums.
